When applying for UL certification, the fuse mainly follows the UL 248 standard. The UL 248 standard is aimed at the safety requirements and test methods of low-voltage fuses. It covers the design, material, appearance, performance and other requirements of the fuse to ensure the reliability and safety of the fuse in normal operation and abnormal conditions.

UL 248 standards include:

  • UL 248-1 is suitable for low-voltage fuses with a rated voltage of 1000V or less, AC and/or DC;

  • UL 248-14 applies to rated fuses with a rated current of 60 A or less;

  • UL 248-13 is applicable to semiconductor fuses with a rated voltage of 2000V ac or lower.
