UL 508 are primarily about safety standards for industrial control equipment, not specifically for conductive slip rings. However, if the conductive slip ring is used as part of an industrial control device, it needs to meet the relevant requirements in the UL 508 standard.
TheUL 508 standard covers industrial control and related equipment with a rated voltage of 1500 volts or less, which is used to start, stop, regulate, control or protect electric motors. It includes requirements for temperature and thermal stability, electrical clearance and creepage distance, electrical fixation, mechanical strength and durability. In addition, the UL 508 specifies requirements for inspection, type testing, instructions, and labeling of manufactured products.
In the certification process of UL 508, the material and design of the product will be fully reviewed to ensure that it meets the relevant technical requirements. At the same time, Ankor will conduct a series of tests to verify the safety and compliance of the products. These tests may include temperature tests, overvoltage and undervoltage tests, overload tests, durability tests, etc.
