GREENGUARD Green Guardian certification range
it is GREENGUARD suitable for more than 480 product types in 26 industries such as building materials, furniture, electrical appliances, medical equipment, cleaning products, textiles, paints and coatings, etc. To date, more than 11,000 GREENGUARD-certified products have been used in homes, schools, hospitals and offices to create a healthier living environment for the public.
The GREENGUARD Green Guardian certification standard is recognized by nearly 500 sustainability projects worldwide and is an essential reference for numerous green building codes, standards, guidelines, procurement policies and rating systems, including LEED.®CALGreen, CHPS, ASHRAE, Green Globes, NAHB, IgCC, etc. At the same time, GREENGUARD certification has been cited by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. Federal Government Procurement Guidelines, recommend as a reference for the procurement of products for federal use.
1. GREENGUARD certification level: GREENGUARD is North America's first voluntary product emissions certification specifically for commercial building products. This certification confirms that products meet the most stringent chemical emission standards, which were first used as procurement specifications for US EPA and Washington State construction projects. GREENGUARD certified products meet stringent emission standards for more than 360 VOCs, as well as limits for total volatile organic compounds (TVOC). Furniture products that have obtained GREENGUARD certificates also meet the BIFMA X7.1 standard.
2. GREENGUARD gold grade: GREENGUARD Gold-certified emission limits take into account safety factors for sensitive individuals, such as children and the elderly. In addition to exceeding the 360 VOC emission and total chemical emission limits, products GREENGUARD Gold certification must also meet the requirements of the California Department of Public Health's "Standard Method for VOC Testing and Evaluation of Indoor Emission Sources Using Environmental Test Champs, Version 1.1(2010)" (also known as CA01350).
