IGBT module in UL 1557 certification main test items:
structural integrity testing:
l Check whether the mechanical structure of the module is complete and free from damage or defects.
l Evaluate the strength and durability of the module housing and internal structure.
Electrical performance testing:
l Measure the electrical parameters of the IGBT module, such as on-resistance, saturation voltage drop, threshold voltage, etc.
l Verify the electrical performance of the module under different temperature and load conditions.
Thermal performance test:
l Evaluate the thermal stability of the module under different ambient temperature and load conditions.
l Test the thermal performance and thermal resistance of the module.
Insulation performance test:
l Measure the insulation resistance and insulation strength of the module.
l Check that the electrical isolation between the inside and outside of the module is satisfactory.
Reliability testing:
l Conduct reliability tests under long-term operating conditions to evaluate the life and stability of the module.
May include temperature cycling test, humidity test, vibration test, etc.
Safety protection test:
l Evaluate the protection functions of the module, such as overcurrent protection, overheating protection, etc.
l Check the response and self-protection ability of the module in abnormal situations.
Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing:
evaluate the anti-interference ability of the module in the electromagnetic environment and the influence of electromagnetic radiation on other equipment.
Environmental adaptability test:
test the performance of the module under different environmental conditions, such as high temperature, low temperature, humidity, salt spray, etc.
Tag and File Review:
l Review the marking, labeling and instructions of the module for compliance with UL standards and relevant regulatory requirements.
l Verify that the technical documents and data provided by the manufacturer are accurate and reliable.
