Italian EPD Certification Profile
The EPDItaly program is the first Italian program operator where companies can publish their EPD, gain visibility at national and international level and communicate to the market in a clear and transparent manner the environmental impact of their own products or company services.
The operator
is EPDItaly an Italian project operator that is Accredia certified by the only national certification body. In this way, only accredited certification bodies can conduct inspections to verify EPD, adopt a unified method and accept the control of the Accredia itself over its work.
CAM's EPDItaly
are EPDItaly in compliance with the Ministry of the Environment's "Minimum Environmental Standards for Design Services and the Allocation of Works for the Management of New Construction, Renovation and Maintenance Buildings and Public Administration Places" (CAM-Construction) decree of October 2017. CAM represents the implementation of the national action plan of our country, developed in accordance with the European Green Public Procurement procedure, for the procurement of products and services by public administrations with a reduced impact on the environment.
Rules
This regulation contains procedures for managing environmental product declarations (EPDs) in EPDItaly programs. They enable organizations to communicate the environmental performance of their products in an understandable and credible way, as they are validated by independent third parties.
EPDItaly regulations and plans are based on ISO 14025.
