GREENGUARD Green Guardian certification

indoor air quality has become a growing global concern. People spend 90% of their daily time indoors, and indoor air is 2-5 times more polluted than outdoor air. People's daily exposure to home decoration building materials, may release a large number of harmful chemicals, is the source of indoor air pollution. The GREENGUARD Green Guardian certification program makes it possible to control indoor pollution at its source. The program helps manufacturers and consumers identify indoor products and materials with low chemical emissions, thereby improving indoor air quality.

The GREENGUARD Greenguard certification standard is one of the most stringent and comprehensive indoor air quality standards in the world. It is based on the chemical release standards established by California, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other well-known public health agencies. The standard strictly follows scientific principles and refers to the results of comprehensive and advanced laboratory tests and data analysis. Through chemical release testing of more than 75,000 products in different industries, it can confirm the formaldehyde released into the air and more than 12,000 volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The GREENGUARD Green Guardian certification standard is recognized by nearly 500 sustainability projects worldwide and is an essential reference for numerous green building codes, standards, guidelines, procurement policies and rating systems, including LEED.®CALGreen, CHPS, ASHRAE, Green Globes, NAHB, IgCC, etc. At the same time, GREENGUARD certification has been cited by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in the U.S. Federal Government Procurement Guidelines, recommend as a reference for the procurement of products for federal use.
