Waterproof connector test items and test requirements
the waterproof connector test needs to evaluate its electrical reliability, mechanical reliability and environmental reliability. The specific test items are as follows:
1. Electrical strength
according GJB1217-1991 medium 1005 method, under normal temperature and pressure, the test voltage (effective value) between conductor and insulator is AC1500V Hz/50Hz, no breakdown or arcing phenomenon is found after 1min, and the super leakage current is less than 2mA.
2. Insulation resistance
according to the method 1005 in the GJB1217-1991, under normal temperature and pressure, the test voltage (effective value) between the conductor and the insulator is DC 500V, and the insulation resistance is greater than 1000MΩ.
3. Contact resistance
under normal temperature and pressure, the contact resistance of the waterproof connector under the male and female connection state ≤ 10mΩ.
4. Salt spray test
for unplugged connectors, follow GJB1217-1991 according to the provisions of the method 1001 in the method, the connector shall be subjected to the neutral salt spray test with the concentration of 5% sodium chloride solution and the temperature of 35±2 ℃ for 48 hours, and there shall be no corrosion affecting the performance.
5. Waterproof performance
under normal temperature and pressure, plug the waterproof connector into the male and female and install the nut, and put it into 1m deep clear water for 4 hours. There is no water seepage inside the connector. Cool it for 30 minutes at normal temperature and pressure, and test the electrical strength, insulation resistance and contact resistance to meet the requirements.
6. Contact separation force
the single hole separation force is 1.0-4.0N.
7. Mechanical life
test according to the 2016 of the GJB1217-1991 method, and insert and unplug the contact. 3000 times the friction surface of the contact is allowed to have slight wear of the coating, but the base metal is not exposed, and there is no mechanical damage that affects the performance. After the test, the test contact resistance meets the requirements of the test part 3.3.
8. Temperature resistance
the sample is energized, and the current is slowly increased to the specified maximum current, the thermostat temperature is increased to the specified maximum temperature, the duration is 250 hours, the connector works normally.
9. Intercompatibility
the free connector and the fixed connector of the same model and specification shall be able to be completely inserted and separated.
