China Quality Certification Center CQC11-461214-2020 the "Rules for Safety Certification of Transformers for Switching Mode Power Supply" (hereinafter referred to as "Certification Rules") has been revised, involving product category number: 001002. The relevant matters concerning the revision are hereby notified as follows:
Main Revisions of 1. Certification Rules
1. The scope of application increased PCB type planar transformer;
2.4.2.1 Add the applicable standard of PCB type planar transformer IEC62368-1:2018, GB4943.1-2011 and corresponding clauses;
3. Add the number of key parts, main inspection samples and covering samples applicable to PCB type planar transformer in Annex 2;
4. The requirements for quality control inspection of PCB type planar transformer factory are added in Annex 3;
5. The certification mark is amended to" CQC Basic Certification Mark".
2. Implementation Requirements
1. This revision does not involve the replacement of issued certificates;
2. Starting from December 10, 2021, our center will adopt the revised rules to implement certification;
3. CQC11-461214-2020 scope of application:
it is suitable for the safety certification of transformers for switching power supplies. The applicable product range is:
a. internal frequency greater than 500Hz, single-phase or multi-phase, air-cooled switching power supply of the following supporting transformers:
-Separate transformer;
-Isolation transformer;
-Safety isolation transformer,
And the rated power supply voltage does not exceed AC 1000V, the rated frequency exceeds 500Hz but does not exceed 100MHz, and the rated output does not exceed:
-25kVA for single-phase transformer;
-40kVA for multiphase transformer.
B. Transformers for switched-mode power supplies for information technology equipment:
rated voltage does not exceed 600V, used for microcomputer (PC), server and portable computer, display equipment, projector (machine), in-machine switching power supply, power adapter, charger, printer, plotter, scanner, cash register, computer game machine, learning machine, copier (including small lithographic printing machine) and other information technology equipment switching power transformer.
c. Transformers for switching power supplies for audio and video equipment:
the rated power supply voltage does not exceed 250V of single-phase AC power supply, and does not exceed 433V of AC for equipment connected to non-single-phase power supply. It is used for switching power supply transformers for audio and video equipment.
Also suitable for dry-type transformers, the windings can be sealed or unsealed.
Also suitable for PCB type planar transformers.
