ul1310 certification class II transformer scope:
power users are divided into three categories. One type of power outage will cause casualties and cause major economic losses to the country, such as hospitals. The second type of power outage can cause greater economic losses, such as water plants. Three types of users refer to ordinary lighting users.
Class I users must have dual-circuit power supply from different primary substations, and Class II users must have dual-circuit power supply from the same substation. When power is tight, the power supply of Class I users must be ensured, and the power supply of Class III users must be appropriately compressed.
2.1 ul1310 standard requirements cover Category 2 power supplies and battery chargers for indoor and outdoor use. These units use isolation transformers and can incorporate components to deliver AC or DC outputs. Each output provides a Class 2 power rating that complies with the National Electrical Code NFPA 70. The maximum output voltage of alternating current does not exceed peak 42.4V, and the maximum output voltage of continuous direct current does not exceed 60V. These products are mainly used to power low-voltage electric equipment. These requirements apply:
a: Portable and semi-permanently installed direct plug-in unit, with 15A blade configuration, can be used in nominal 120 or 240V AC branch circuits, and the maximum potential to ground is 150V;
b: Cord connection and plug connection unit with 15A or 20A connection plug configuration, used for nominal 120 or 240V AC branch circuit, the maximum potential to ground is 150V;
c: A unit permanently connected to the input power supply for AC or DC branch circuits of nominal 600V or less.
The direct plug-in and cable connection units may also be provided with an integral cigarette lighter connector assembly, or DC input jack, for power supply from the data port associated with the information technology equipment of the vehicle battery adapter, these units use an isolation transformer, and may incorporate components to provide AC or DC output. Each output provides a Class 2 power rating that complies with the National Electrical Code NFPA 70. The maximum output voltage of alternating current does not exceed peak 42.4V, and the maximum output voltage of continuous direct current does not exceed 60V. These products are mainly used for power supply of low voltage electric equipment.
2.2 ul1310 standard the requirements cover plug-in and wired connected products with an input power not exceeding 660W under any possible output load conditions.
The 2.3ul1310 standard does not cover the impact that the power unit may have on the device or system to which it is connected.
2.4 products labeled for specific end uses that involve additional considerations may be subject to additional requirements in the applicable end product standards.
a) Mechanical risk, for example: risk caused by tools;
b) Accumulation of fine points, for example, static electricity of radio equipment with external antenna connection;
c) Special impact limit, for example: limit of medical equipment;
d) Fire hazard, for example: fire caused by decorative lighting products.
The 2.5ul1310 standard requirements do not include products intended to charge the battery used to start the engine. Such products are subject ul1236 engine starter battery charger standard protection.
2.6 these requirements cover UL1310 standard definition, Class 2 products intended to work with toys. Such products should also comply with toy transformer standards ul697.
2.7 these requirements do not include products with outputs other than the second category, nor do they include battery chargers intended to be suitable for use in wheelchairs or similar types of mobility assistance equipment. This type of product is suitable for the second class of power unit standards other than UL1012.
2.8 Products without rectifiers may belong to low-voltage transformer standards-Part 1: General requirements, ul5085-1 and low-voltage transformer standards-Part 3: Class 2 and 3 transformers, ul5085-3.
2.9 these requirements do not include products powered by DC power only. These products are suitable ul458 the "Standard for Power Converters/Inverters and Power Converter/Inverter Systems for Land Vehicles and Ships" or other requirements applicable to the intended application.
2.10 these requirements do not include products designed to provide low-voltage landscape lighting. The low voltage landscape lighting system UL1838 covers such products.
