On April 30, 2021, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration and the State Standardization Administration issued GB 24427-2021 "Limits on Mercury, Cadmium and Lead in Zinc Negative Primary Cells", replacing GB 24427-2009 "Limits on Mercury, Cadmium and Lead in Alkaline and Non-Alkaline Zinc-Manganese Dioxide Batteries" and GB 24428-2009 "Limits on Mercury in Zinc-Silver Oxide, Zinc-Air and Zinc-Manganese Dioxide Batteries".
GB 24427-2021 specifies the limits, detection methods and compliance determination requirements for mercury, cadmium and lead contents in standardized zinc-manganese dioxide batteries, zinc-silver oxide batteries and zinc-air batteries. GB 24427-2021 contains many major amendments. The new standard requires the standardized mercury, cadmium and lead limits for various types of batteries as follows:
note:
1. Because there are too many battery types and models, they are not listed in detail here. Please refer to the original standard;
2, not standardized zinc-silver oxide, zinc-air, zinc-manganese dioxide battery according to the above requirements.
