Electric mobile devices covered by this policy
an electric mobile device is a self-balancing transportation device powered by a rechargeable battery pack (most commonly a lithium-ion battery). The rider maintains the balance of the device by shifting the center of gravity of the body. This policy does not include motorized mobile devices for use by children.
Scooter Products
A scooter product (also known as a "self-balancing scooter" or "self-balancing electric scooter") is an electric mobility device with two wheels and a pedal between the two wheels on which the user can stand. The user can control the scooter product to move forward or backward by moving both feet.
Self-balancing unicycle
A self-balancing unicycle is an electric mobile unicycle device that uses a sensor in combination with an electric motor to assist the rider in maintaining balance on the unicycle. This device has no handle for the user to grasp. Self-balancing unicycles are also known as "unicycle scooters".
Electric skateboard
the electric skateboard has four wheels with an additional battery pack and power system that can increase torque to help the rider travel. Electric skateboards may have hand-held remote controls that allow the rider to control the skateboard during use.

we require all electric mobility equipment to be tested and comply with the following specific regulations or standards:

UL 1642 for electric tricycles (lithium-ion battery testing, certification and verification); or
UL 2054 (Standard for Household and Commercial Batteries); or
IEC/UL/CSA 62133-2 (Lithium-ion battery testing, certification and verification)
electric mobile device accessories are not currently allowed for sale.
