1. Add 38 new chapters

chapter 38 is aimed at the products of electric fan with hand-held remote control. The battery of hand-held remote control is button battery to meet this requirement. This controller needs to meet the relevant tests of the UL4200A.

Structure: First, the hand-held remote-controlled battery box with button battery requires the same two steps or the use of tools to open it.

2. Add 39 new chapters

chapter 39 is for products with lasers, laser products need to meet UL1040 testing requirements.

3. Add Chapter 185.4.2

chapter 185.4.2 Aiming at the structure of the downdraft fan, the downdraft fan except for the operation with the offset switch needs to reduce the risk of injury to people. It should be set to rise when starting and fall when stopping, and it needs to meet the 186.4 test requirements.

4. Add 186.4 new chapters

chapter 186.4 For the structure of the downdraft fan, the speed of adjusting the final position of the moving parts of the fan under the rated voltage of the sample needs to be less than 15 m/s, the probe (Figure 9.2) cannot be touched by the probe and the force applied to the probe cannot be greater than 100N.

5. Revised Chapter 223

chapter 223 is aimed at ultraviolet air purifier products, mainly to modify the specific matters of ultraviolet radiation test.

What is the test content of the newly added chapter and how can it pass the test?

Chapter 1 and 38

(a) The handheld remote control needs to withstand 7 hours of baking, with a minimum of 70°C or a normal temperature rise of 10°C as the oven temperature. The handheld remote control cannot deform and cause the live parts to be touched by the test fingers;

(B) If the hand-held remote control is fixed by screws, the torque of the screws shall be confirmed and the following requirements shall be met;

(c) The hand-held remote control needs to bear the drop test from a height of one meter, the non-hand-held remote control needs to bear the test for 10 times, and the hand-held remote control needs to bear the drop test for 3 times. After the hand-held remote control test, it cannot be broken to expose the live parts and touched by the test fingers;

(d) The hand-held remote control battery compartment needs to withstand the impact from a 50.8mm diameter, 0.5kg iron ball with an impact force of 2J. After the hand-held remote control test, it cannot be broken through and exposed to live parts that are touched by the test fingers;

(e) The hand-held remote control needs to bear a force of 330N for 10s, and the contact surface is 100 mmX250mm. After the hand-held remote control is tested, it cannot be broken through and exposed to live parts and touched by the test fingers;

(F) It is necessary to apply a force of 45N to the battery compartment with the test probe 11 for 10 seconds, and the battery compartment cannot be opened;
