1 .DOC what is it and what is the important role?
DOC is short for "Declaration of compliance" in English, which is what we often say. "Declaration of Conformance".
It is a written statement issued in accordance with the requirements of the EU Compulsory Regulation (EC)No 1935/2004 on food contact materials, which states that food contact materials or articles comply with the regulations and requires corresponding supporting documents. When the product enters the EU market, it is necessary to provide the DOC to the relevant customs department as a customs clearance document.
2. Who wrote the DOC?
DOC is a "self-declared" file, which is defined manufacturers, distributors and importers of food contact materials.
Among them, the definition scope of manufacturer covers the whole process of producing food contact materials, such as raw material manufacturers, plastic intermediate material manufacturers and end product manufacturers, etc., according to their responsibilities in the production process of end products, declare their product compliance and pass DOC.
How to write DOC?
The DOC shall be written in the English language ". Taking plastic materials as an example, the DOC needs to include the following:
● Information on the identity and address of the operator who issued the declaration of conformity.
● Identification and address of the manufacturer or importer at each stage of production of plastic food contact materials.
● Information on plastic food contact materials, such as material name, CAS No., etc.
● Date of issuance of the statement.
● End products, products or substances in the intermediate stage of manufacturing conform (EC) No 1935/2004, Chapters 3, 11(5), 15 and 17 and EU10/2011 of the situation.
● Instructions for the use of food contact materials or articles, such as the type of food in contact, the temperature of the time of contact with the food, and the volume ratio of the area in contact with the food.
● Compliance with functional barrier layers in multilayer materials and articles.
