1.UN38.3 Report
In order to ensure the safety of battery air transportation and avoid the occurrence of unsafe events, the batteries of each type shall be proved to conform to paragraph 38.3 of Part 3 of the Manual of Experiments and Standards (I .e. UN38.3) during the collection and transportation of batteries at each airport. Those without UN38.3 conformity report cannot be collected and transported.
2. Add stacking test
IATA DGR the 64th edition (2023) adds the requirement of 24-hour 3-meter stacking test to Part IB of PI965 and PI968. This packaging type needs to pass the stacking test and can only apply for renewal of the appraisal certificate after the test report is issued.
3. Add packaging changes
for packing box changes, such as box size changes, product quantity changes, carton design changes, etc., need reapply for 1.2 m drop report and stacking test report (if applicable) and identification
4. Add label change
modify the lithium battery operation label to remove the requirement to display the phone number on the label. There will be a transition period before December 31, 2026, before which the existing lithium battery operating label can continue to be used.
