Introduction
EPDItaly is the first Italian program operator, where companies can publish their EPD, gain national and international visibility, and communicate the environmental impact of their own products or company services to the market in a clear and transparent manner Influence.
Carrier
EPDItaly is an Italian project operator certified by Accredia, the only national certification body. In this way, only accredited certification bodies can conduct inspections to verify EPD, adopt a uniform method and accept Accredia's own control of its work.
EPDItaly in CAM
EPDItaly complies with the Ministry of Environment's “Minimum Environmental Standards for Design Services and Project Distribution for New Buildings, Refurbishment and Maintenance of Buildings, and Public Administration Places Management” (CAM-Construction) passed the October 2017 Decree. CAM represents the implementation of my country's national action plan formulated in accordance with the European Green Public Procurement Procedure to reduce the procurement of products and services of public administration departments that have an impact on the environment.
Rules
This regulation contains procedures for managing environmental product declarations (EPD) in the EPDItaly program. They enable organizations to communicate the environmental performance of their products in an understandable and credible manner because they are verified by independent third parties.
EPDItaly regulations and plans are based on ISO 14025.
